Where are you from?
Hopewell Junction, NY.
How long have you been a fitness instructor?
I officially became a fitness instructor in January when I became Schwinn certified and started training with The Studio @ Beacon.
What inspired you to be a fitness instructor?
I have always been athletic, but it was during college that I developed a passion for fitness and healthy eating. I signed up to run a half marathon and never looked back. I have since run three full marathons, 15 half marathons and countless other races. I eventually started to take fitness more seriously and had the itch to spread my love of working out with others. I’ve always loved indoor cycling as a great way to cross-train, so when I saw The Studio @ Beacon was opening I knew it was something I wanted to be apart of.
What is your favorite smoothie?
I’m a big fan of the Mint To Be!
What is your pre workout snack?
I usually like to whip up homemade energy bites to have on hand throughout the week. If I don’t have time, I’ll grab a bar or have some Greek yogurt with berries and granola.
What song motivates you the most when working out?
I’m currently loving ‘Purple Yellow Red and Blue’ by Portugal and The Man (Passion Pit Remix). It’s great for cranking up the resistance on the bike and working it out of the saddle!
What attracted you to The Studio @ Beacon?
I’ve been an avid indoor cycler for years, and loved the unique idea of the integrated boxing and cycling classes. I’d never heard of a studio that did that before! Once I met with Sam and Laura, I knew it was going to be an awesome place. They have great energy, and their vibe and vision really shine through in their business.
